Fuchs Lubricants to strengthen Partnerships


In April 2017, Volkswagen Group UK has announced a major new supplier partnership with Fuchs Lubricants UK.

Under an exhaustive tender process, the agreement has seen Fuchs replacing Castrol as the lubricants supplier for Trade Parts Specialists’ (TPS) Quantum range of oils.

The resulting all-new Quantum oil range represents the most important product launch in TPS’ 10-year history and underlines TPS’ ambition to provide genuine parts and accessories for all Audi, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen Passenger Cars and Commercial Vehicles.

TPS Head of Business Philip Taylor said, ‘Fuchs’ is the world’s largest independent lubricant manufacturer and a class-leading operator and we’re thrilled to be announcing this partnership.’

‘Its UK facility in Stoke-on-Trent is a modern, bulk handling distribution center, boasting a 120,000-tonne capacity and 99.5% on time in the full delivery record.’

Fuchs Automotive Director Russell Kenyon said, ‘Fuchs is very proud to have been appointed by TPS. As a specified first fill provider to the factory, we have a rich history with Volkswagen Group and our exemplary track record for innovation.’

‘Through this new supplier partnership and the revised Quantum brand, the aftermarket can now also benefit from competitively priced latest technology oil that is manufactured in the UK and supported by a wealth of German technological innovation.’

In mid-2016, emphasizing on two stroke-based businesses, Fuchs Lubricants partnered with T G Holdcroft. It has become the official bulk oil supplier to the successful franchised dealer group T G Holdcroft.

Fuchs has provided engine oils to the 16 Holdcroft dealerships across Stoke and Cheshire, which has offered its customers a host of brands including Honda, Hyundai, Nissan, Renault and Volvo.

Holdcroft Operations Director Neil Rudge said ‘We were looking for a new lubricant partner for both our new and used cars and service offering and Fuchs ticked all the boxes.’

‘The most important consideration was the quality and manufacture approval of their products for which Fuchs is renowned, not only in the UK but around the world. It supplies quality oils which have approvals for all the major brands which cover our dealerships.’

Fuchs Regional Sales Manager Rob East said, ‘We are delighted to add Holdcroft to our long list of franchise dealer customers.’
